Hello, I’m Ms. Toni. I’m the second youngest of 10 in my family. I was born and raised in Norther California. I graduated from California State University, Chico with a major in Business Administration and minor in International business. I love to travel and during my college years, I decided to study abroad in Bilbao, Spain. I was fortunate to be able to travel to various destinations in Europe.

During my study abroad program in Spain, my focus was not only to travel to different destinations, but also to authentically experience the local culture. I wanted a deeper understanding of the Spanish way of life beyond surface-level tourism. To immerse myself, I volunteered as a teacher’s assistant for both kindergarten and 1st grade classes. This experience taught be so much about the culture.
I quickly noticed the children were learning three different languages – Basque, Spanish, and English. It was fascinating to see their young minds absorb multiple languages with ease. Children’s brains are like sponges at that age, effortlessly capable of picking up several languages simultaneously. Interacting with the enthusiastic students and teachers provided me with an invaluable insider’s view of the culture. Through this volunteer opportunity, I gained understanding of Spanish family life, traditions, and values that enriched my perspective and time abroad tremendously.

My lifelong experience caring for young family members and volunteering with children overseas sparked a passion for nurturing kids and led me to a career in elementary education. This hands-on time helped me realize my calling was working closely with children during their crucial developmental phases.

Now, as the founder of ABC Kids Oasis, I have the privilege to guide children’s growth and learning during the formative early childhood years. My background cultivated a true understanding of how to foster education through patient care, creative activities and an encouraging environment.

In my new role, I am to provide the supportive place I know children need to thrive. By combining a play-based curriculum with plenty of nurturing care, I hope to encourage both academic and personal growth. My ultimate goal is preparing children for success in school and life.

I love seeing kids excitement and curiosity in action as they explore new activities. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing the children learn and progress day by day. I look forward to bringing my experience and passion to the children of ABC Kids Oasis.
